Ami borzasztó az a tervezési hiba.
Kövezzetek meg (csapágy és fedökövekkel :)), de kedvelem a titánt, mint tok és karlánc anyagot.
Kisebb fajsúlyú, mint az acél, nem irritál, stb. Rugalmassága, megmunkálhatósága azonban elmarad az acélétól. Ezt tapasztalt, nagy múltú óragyárak figyelembe is veszik az alkatrészek tervezésekor.
Jubileumi órám kiválasztásakor éltem azzal a feltételezéssel, hogy a Certina, mint tapasztalt és nagy múltú óragyár tudja ezt és ennek megfelelöen tervezi titán órái tokjait. A formatervezéssel nem is volt baj, nekem tetszik. Felpróbáláskor meglepett, hogy a lánc záróeleme bepattintós, azaz égy régi, nem túl kifinomult szerkezet, ami acéloknál évtizedek óta bevált, de modern titán lánctól többet vártam volna. Sajnos ezt a jelet figyelmen kívül hagytam és maradtam a titán tokozású modellnél. Ez 2011 december 4-én történt.
2012 február 24-én reggel, amikor felvettem az órát, a kezemet bökte valami. Kiderült, hogy a láncot záró két egymásra fekvö elemet összefogó csapot körülfogó egyik fül fele letört, a csap pedig éppen kiesni készült.

My Friends throw stones (rubies and chatons) on me but I like Titanium as case and bracelet material.
Its specific gravity is less than of steel. It is not irritating skin. On the other hand its flexibility and plasticity is falling behind the steel. Watch firms of big tradition should thake those facts into account at engineering design.
When selecting a watch as my 10 year loyalty present from my company I supposed that Certina as a watch firms of big tradition has the knowledge of designing Titanium parts. The artistic design is fine at least I like it. When tried it in the watch shop I was surprised that it has a 'push-in' type clap what works well in steel bracelets but I would have expected somewhat more from a modern Titanium bracelet. It is a pitty that I neglected that and insisted to have Titanium watch. That hapened on 4-Dec-2011.
On 24-Feb-2012 when putting on the watch something was scratching my wrist. It turned out that one part of the hinge pulling together the bracelet was cracked and the pin was about to fallout.

Amint említettem az alkatrészt pár hét alatt cserélték, bár én egy hetet tartottam volna megfelelönek.
Az viszont szöget ütött a fejembe, hogy miközben titán tokos Junghans Mega rádió-vezérelt órán 2004 közepe óta szolgál és az utóbbi 3 évben szinte minden munkanapon hordom, az miért bírja a strapát. Összehasonlítottam a két megoldást. A Certina csapolása annyira - fájdalom, ki kell mondani - primitív, hogy még a csapot tengelyirányú kicsúszás ellen nem is biztosították. |
As I mentionned earlier the part was replaced in 6 weeks. I would have rather preferred one week.
I could not understan how come my radio controlled Junghans Mega purchased in 2004 and worn on all working days for three years stands very well that wear. I have compared the two solutions. The hinge of Certina - sorry but it must be said - primitive that it is not even securized against axial displacement so to say falling out. |

A képeken azonban az is jól látszik, hogy az elemek falvastagságánál, az alkalmazott hajlítási sugaraknál egyszerüen átvették az acél esetén bevált értékeket és nem méretezték át a titán tulajdonságaira.
Remek ellenpélda a Junghans. Nagyobb görbületi sugarak vastagabb falak és a csap végeknél a közrefogó elemek szépen gyárilag ráhajlítva a csapra, ezzel biztosítva azt kicsúszás ellen. |
It can be seen well on the picture that the wall thickness and the bending radiuses are simpply copied fron the well proven steel parts and did not resized them to the properties of Titanium.
A perfect counter example is Junghans. Larger radiuses, thicker walls and at the end of the hinges the edges are bent over the pin thus securing it against falling out. |

minden egyes nyitásnál-zárásnál az egyébként nem túlzottan rugalmas zárelemet idölegesen rugalmas alakváltozásra kényszerítve nyitható-zárható, ami eközben kapcsolódó elemeket is koptatja.
Jó lenne, ha nem csak a valamikori Aranypók reklám ügyelne a részletekre. Gyógyír sebeimre, hogy ugyan nem sikerült megtudnom, milyen ETA kvarc szerkezet van a Certinában, elsö négy hónapjában rendre 1-1 másodpercet sietett, ami olyan szép eredmény, hogy egy ilyen pontos és szép óra egy rendes csatot is megérdemelne. |
At each opening or closing the fairly rigid closing clap is forced to elastic deformation. In return the clap is 'grinding' the connecting parts as well.
It would be good to take care of the details. I could not figure out which ETA quartz calibre is in the Ceretina but it is a bit of consolation to my pain is that in the first 4 month it gained 1 second each month: that is so good result that the watch would merit a high quality clap. |
