Hogyan kezdödött? A kínai óragyártás elöször elképzelhetetlenül gyenge minöségü hamiasítványok formájában került a szemem elé. Azonnal kivívta teljes elutasításomat. Idöbe telt, míg rájöttem, Kína is a hamisítók, vagy jobb esetben licence vásárlók útját járja. Kezdi hamisítással utánzással, eközben megtanulja a szakmát. A hamisítás megbocsájthatatlan, de a lejárt licenszü szerkezetek másolása már inkább csak ízlésem ellen való, de nem tilos. Egy magyar internetes óratopicon olvastam az 'Asia ETA/Unitas' kaliberekröl. Fotók alapján igen pontos másolatoknak tüntek. Érdekelni kezdett, hogy milyen teljesítményre is képesek, az eredetiekhez képest. |
How did it start? First I met Chinese watch production in the form of unbeievably low level fake watches. It immediately led to my full denial. It took some time for me to realise that China does what other countries did purchasing license or copying products. They start with either production under license or simply copying while they learn the profession. Obviously ther is no excuse to forging, but producing produtcs of expired patent is rather against my taste but legally is not forbidden. In a Hungarian wristwatch chatroom I have read about 'Asia ETA/Unitas' calibres. On photos they appeared to be very precise copies. I became interested in what is their poerformace compared to the originals. |

Nyilvánvaló volt, hogy a teszt korlátozott darabszámú lesz, így szerettem volna különbözö körülények között és hordás közben is vizsgálni.
Már borhütö vásárlását is fontolóra vettem a kontrollált hömérsékleten történö vizsgálatokhoz, noha egybként semmi szükségen nem lett volna rá. Késöbb kiderült, hogy érdemes volt halasztani a beszerzést. |
It was obvious that the test will be done on limited number of watches. That is why I wanted to test them in daily wearing and different conditions.
I have even cinsidered to buy a wine chiller for the controlled temperature tests although otherwise I did not need that. Later it turned out that it was very fortunate to postpone the purchase. |

Az elsö hat hétben mindent megtettem, hogy biztosítsam, hogy a két óra egyforma terhelést kapjon. Egyik nap délelött az egyiket, délután a máskat viseltem.
Másnap cseréltem. Szerettem volna azt is tudni, hogy a napközbeni hordás és az éjszakai állás közben mennyi az eltérés, ezért reggel és este is feljegyeztem az eltéréseket. |
During first six weeks I did everything to ensure both watches get the same or very similar load. One day I wore one watch in the morning the other in the afternon.
The other day vice versa. I wanted to know what is the deviation during daytime wear and rest during the night. That is why I recorded deviations in the morning and in the evening as well. |

Az elsö hat hét napi eredményei annyira zavarosak voltak, hogy változtattam a módszeren.
Hordás helyett állványon egymás mellett állva kezdtem mérni öket 2009 nov. 14-töl. December elején a SeaGull-on számlapot kellett cserélni, ekkor változott napi eltérése, majd ez január végén minden külsö hatás nélkül visszaállt a korábbi napi értékre. |
Resuls of the first six weeks were so inconsistent that I decided to change the methodology.
Instead of wearing them I placed them side by side on the shelf for test on 14-Nov-2009. Early December dial had to be changed on SeaGull. The mean value of daily deviations changed. End of January it returned to the previous values withoout any external shock. |

A napközbeni hordás és az éjszakai állás közbeni eltérés értékei alig mutattak bármi konzisztenciát.
Visszatértem a többi mechanikus óra vizsgálatánál alkalmazott módszere és a kapott eredményeket azokhoz hasonlítottam.

Results of the deviation during daytime wear and rest during the night did not show any consistency.
I returned to the methodology used at the test of other mechanical watches and compared the results to those ones.
